L'énigme de la photo jaunie (The Mystery of the Faded Photograph) is the title given to the loose translation of Grandad's Journey: A Holocaust Mystery, Bernard S. Wilson's novel about WWII written for young readers. The novel was inspired by Dr. Ron Friend's story as he was rescued from a French concentration camp at the young age of two. It also seemed the perfect name for this website where we hope to add other extraordinary stories of the Holocaust!

The French adaptation of Bernard S. Wilson's Grandad's Journey: A Holocaust Mystery is an engaging tool to teach your students (or yourself!) an important part of history as well as French skills.
